Privacy PolicyThe Tech Osaka Summit Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizing Committee”) will comply with laws, regulations, and other standards regarding the protection of personal information pertaining to our customers and others; establish and implement voluntary rules and systems; formulate the Privacy Policy set forth below; and strive to protect personal information by implementing and maintaining this policy.
1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations Regarding the Protection of Personal InformationIn handling personal information related to the planning and implementation of this event (Tech Osaka Summit 2027), we will comply with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and other relevant laws and regulations. We will also periodically review this policy and implement appropriate improvements.
2. Responsibilities of the Organizing CommitteeWhen collecting personal information, the Organizing Committee will, as a rule, clearly state the purpose of collection and specify that collection will be limited to the extent necessary to achieve that purpose, and will obtain such information only with the individual’s consent.
Furthermore, we will obtain personal information through lawful and fair means and will never obtain it through improper methods. When using such information, we will manage it only within the scope of the specified purposes.

・Operation of this event (booth setup, matchmaking, signage, etc.)
・Responding to inquiries submitted to the Organizing Committee
・Various communications and announcements regarding this event from the Organizing Committee and the Secretariat

・Providing information to sponsoring companies, sales and marketing activities, and PR activities for sponsoring companies
・Publishing archive pages for case studies, as well as statistical and analytical data that does not identify individuals

We will not use personal information within the Organizing Committee for purposes beyond the scope of its collection, nor will we disclose it to anyone other than Organizing Committee members, except in cases involving notifications regarding this event and future program events, or notifications and inquiries regarding initiatives from the event’s organizing body and related matters.
However, we may disclose or use personal information as an exception in the following cases:
・When required by law
・When necessary to protect human life, physical safety, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
・When particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the sound development of children
・When cooperation with national agencies or similar entities is required
3. Thorough Implementation of Security Measures for Personal InformationThe Organizing Committee will appoint a person in charge of information management to manage personal information and will strive to ensure appropriate management for the protection of personal information.
Furthermore, the Organizing Committee will respond appropriately to protect and safeguard the personal information provided from leakage, theft, loss, destruction, and other risks.
In addition, the Organizing Committee will implement information security measures, such as measures against unauthorized access and computer viruses, and will strive to prevent the loss, alteration, and leakage of personal information.
The Organizing Committee will securely delete collected personal information once the purpose for which it was collected has been fulfilled and an appropriate period has elapsed. However, information required to be retained by law will be stored in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Personal information that is no longer needed—such as due to cancellation for assorted reasons, will be promptly disposed of in accordance with established procedures.
4. Other Matters Concerning the Handling of Personal InformationThe Organizing Committee will respond without delay if an individual requests the disclosure or suspension of their personal information, or if, because of disclosure, incorrect information is found and the individual requests its correction or deletion.
Furthermore, the Organizing Committee will ensure that all members of the Organizing Committee, the Organizing Committee Secretariat, and related organizations thoroughly adhere to this policy and strive to enhance security awareness.
In addition, the Organizing Committee will respond appropriately to complaints and inquiries regarding personal information.
When the handling of personal information is outsourced to a third party in connection with business operations, the Organizing Committee will exercise appropriate supervision.
Furthermore, in cases of shared use of personal information, the scope, purpose, and person responsible for management will be clearly specified and made readily available for the individual to verify.
When registering for this event, a business operator designated by the Organizing Committee (I&S BBDO Co., Ltd. or Venture Café Tokyo, a General Incorporated Association; hereinafter referred to as the “Contractor”) may collect participants’ personal information through the application form. The personal information collected by the contracted service provider will be obtained and strictly managed by the Organizing Committee (Osaka City, Osaka Industrial Promotion Bureau (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation), UMEKITA Future Innovation Organization (General Incorporated Association), Urban Vitality Research Institute (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation), and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Osaka Headquarters), and will be used for matching attendees with exhibitors and for various future communications (such as notifications to exhibitors and the distribution of email newsletters). In addition, we will record videos and take photographs of the event. The recorded videos and photographs may be used indefinitely in the future for broadcast footage during this event, on websites, social media, and event announcements (including all future events organized by members of the Organizing Committee; hereinafter referred to as “Members”).
