Yoriai 2026 Exhibition

A Gathering to Share and Celebrate Craft
The Awa Washi Traditional Industry Hall invites artists and makers to participate in the Yoriai 2026 Exhibition, an international group exhibition centered on washi and material-based practices.
“Yoriai” refers to a gathering where people come together to exchange ideas and share knowledge. Inspired by this spirit, the exhibition creates a space where artists who engage closely with materials—especially washi and paper—can present their work and share their approaches.
The exhibition values the practice of working with materials itself, regardless of technical background, career stage, or nationality. Works from a wide range of fields are welcome, including craft, contemporary art, printmaking, sculpture, ZINEs, and experimental paper structures.
Artists bring their works together, exchange ideas, and encounter different techniques and perspectives on handwork.
