Questionnaire Concerning Japanese Language
Do you expect to have achieved CEFR A2.1 level or higher by the start of the program?
  •  A minimum Japanese language level of pre-intermediate is required by the time the program starts; 
    (completed CEFR A2.1; equivalent to ICU J2 level)
  • This is equivalent to those students who have finished:
    •  '初級日本語げんき 1 GENKI: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese I',
    • 'みんなの日本語初級1 'Minna no Nihongo Shokyu I',  or
    • 'NAKAMA なかま 1'
  • Complete beginners with no prior study are not eligible.

In order to determine approximately how many students, this is to enable us to determine how many students will be in each level. The official placement test will take place online in June.

Students in Think and Talk in Japanese 1 are strongly recommended to participate, and students in Think and Talk in Japanese 2 are encouraged to participate.

Accommodation
Participants will be arranged to stay at ICU on-campus dormitory: rooms will be shared by 2 students with beds, desks and air conditioning in each room. Restrooms, kitchen, shower facilities to be shared.
